Chapter 7 Heavy and critical clinical warning indicators
(A) Adults
- Progressive decline in peripheral blood lymphocytes;
- Peripheral blood inflammatory factors such as IL-6 and C-reactive protein are progressively increased;
- Progressive increase in lactic acid;
- Lesions in the lungs progress rapidly in the short term.
(B) Children
- Faster breathing rate;
- Poor mental response and drowsiness;
- Progressive increase in lactic acid;
- Imaging shows bilateral or multilobe infiltration, pleural effusion, or short-term lesions rapid progress.
- Infants under 3 months of age may have underlying diseases (congenital heart disease, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, respiratory malformations, abnormal hemoglobin, severe malnutrition, etc.), have immunodeficiency or low levels (long-term use of immunosuppressants).
